HUMAN RIGHTS
To achieve our vision, we have set core objectives:
-
To raise awareness of GWL health needs, especially sexual health
-
To defend GWL human rights
-
Educate and empower the GWL community,
-
To build and strengthen our engagement with the Balinese community by work with multi-sectoral / multi stakeholder approach.
Approach
Our core program is providing highly skilled outreach to the GWL (Gay, Waria and MSM) community of Bali. This is done through a combination of face to face counselling, VCT service referral and digital outreach.
We also hold community forums, focus group discussions and training workshops on gender, sexuality and sexual health related issues. We support this core work with a focus on advocating for our community to the wider Bali community, especially focusing on media and the university system.
We also run events to celebrate and empower our community.
